Quickstart for your first rehearsal
GuideGo from finding voicings to a shareable, performance-ready setlist in about 10 minutes.
A non-hot-reloadable change occurred and we must rebuild.
Available without signing in.
Shared charts, backing tracks, and setlists for practice, rehearsal, and the stage.
Akordo keeps your band on the same page. Write chord charts once, line them up in setlists, and change the key without retyping anything. Everyone opens the same current version.
Keep arrangements, recordings, and rehearsal plans together, whether you play solo or with a band.
Keep your repertoire in one library. Build a setlist for each show, run it from Stage mode on a tablet or laptop, and export a PDF for the music stands as a backup.
Prepare Sunday sets with shared charts, per-song arrangements, and setlists the whole team can open. Mark each song's readiness so everyone knows what still needs rehearsal.
Create charts with voicings for the instrument and tuning a student actually plays. Custom instruments keep the chord diagrams honest for 7-strings, baritones, and alternate tunings.
Keep a personal library with version history, practice tracks, a metronome, and chord and arpeggio maps. Clean PDF export is always a click away.
Build a chart section by section in the guided editor, or write directly in ChordPro. Type chords in square brackets next to the lyrics. Charts render cleanly at any size and export to PDF without reformatting.

That [G]saved a [Em]wretch like [Am]me [D7]
Keep alternate arrangements under one song, each with its own chart, timing, notes, and recordings. Save vocal keys for different singers and choose one for the setlist. Your capo preference stays personal.
Attach reference recordings to an arrangement and select a backing track. The practice player can shift the track to your performing key without changing its tempo. Add strum patterns to the chart and show or hide them as needed.
Browse voicings for any chord on guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin, piano, or a custom instrument. Arpeggio maps show chord tones and scale shapes across the whole neck.
On the web you can use chord maps, arpeggio maps, and custom instruments without creating an account.
Line up songs in performance order, pick the arrangement for each one, and track readiness with New, Review, Confirmed, and Problem statuses. Give a setlist an event date and call times, see the projected runtime, and record what actually happened after the show.
Open a setlist and press Perform. Stage mode shows one song at a time with large text, auto-scroll or paged layout, full-screen, and keyboard or Bluetooth page-turn pedal navigation between songs.
Import songs from ChordPro files, spreadsheets, or exports from other apps. Importing only adds songs and never overwrites what is already in your library.
Create a group for your band and move songs and setlists into it. Roles control who can edit charts, who can only manage setlists, and who can only view. You can also share a single song or setlist with someone by email. Assign musicians and roles in the setlist’s Team panel, then see who has confirmed, is tentative, or has declined.
Generate consistently formatted printouts for rehearsal or gigs. Export a single song or a whole setlist in order.
Link Claude, ChatGPT, or any other tool that speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to your library. Ask your assistant to create songs, edit charts, build setlists, or audit your repertoire. MCP access depends on your plan.
The native Akordo app for iPhone and iPad is in public beta. It signs in with the same account, so your library, setlists, and groups are already there. Practice with a tuner, metronome, and your backing tracks, run the set from an iPad with a page-turn pedal or MIDI controller, mark up charts with Apple Pencil, and download a set to play it offline. Join the beta on TestFlight, or read Akordo on iPhone and iPad for the three-step install.
Charts use the ChordPro standard, a plain-text format that keeps chords aligned with lyrics regardless of screen size or font. There is no proprietary format to get locked into.
Changes save as you work. When someone in your group updates a chart, everyone opens the updated version. Version history lets you see what changed and restore an earlier take.
Chord maps and arpeggio maps adapt to your instrument and tuning. Create custom instruments for non-standard setups like 7-string guitars, baritone guitars, or open tunings.
