These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Akordo and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms are designed to complement our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use information.

Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
- You must comply with all applicable laws when using the Service.
- If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Accounts and Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, infringing, harmful, abusive, harassing, or fraudulent purposes.
- Attempt to access, probe, or compromise the security of the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service, except where prohibited by law.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service (including by sending excessive requests, scraping, or automating access without permission).
- Upload, transmit, or distribute malware or other harmful code.
- Impersonate others, misrepresent your affiliation, or misuse invitations/sharing features.
Your Content
The Service allows you to create, upload, and share content such as songs, setlists, group data, and related materials ("Your Content").
Ownership
You retain ownership of Your Content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to submit and share it.
License to Akordo
To operate the Service, you grant Akordo (and our service providers) a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, back up, reproduce, process, display, and distribute Your Content as necessary to provide the Service (including collaboration, sharing, and export features like PDF generation). This license is limited to operating and improving the Service and does not grant Akordo the right to sell Your Content.
Sharing and collaborators
If you share Your Content with others (for example through groups or invitations), you understand that those users may view, use, and interact with Your Content within the Service based on their permissions.
Content removal
Akordo may remove or restrict access to Your Content if we believe it violates these Terms, the law, or creates risk for the Service or others.
Suspension and Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time.
Akordo may suspend or terminate your access to the Service (including disabling your account) at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, as permitted by law. We may also refuse service to anyone at any time. When practical, we may provide notice or a way to appeal, but we are not required to do so.
If we suspend or terminate access, you may lose access to some or all of the Service and Your Content. We may retain and use information as described in our Privacy Policy.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AKORDO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AKORDO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE.
NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Akordo from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date when we do. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice (for example, in the app or by email) before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept the updated Terms.
